18TH ANNUAL STATEWIDE CONFERENCE ON PROBLEM GAMBLING

OAPGG’s 18th Annual Statewide Conference will take place on Friday, March 7, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center (1899 S Gordon Cooper Dr, Shawnee, OK 74801).

Registration is $40 and includes lunch.

Participants who attend the full day will earn 7 hours of gambling-specific CEUs.

About The Presenters

Dr. Robert Navarra, LMFT, Certified Gottman Therapist, Consultant, Advanced Trainer, and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), is a popular presenter at national conferences, podcasts, and webinars, including presentations on couple recovery for Hazelden, Betty Ford Foundation, The Association of Addiction Professionals (NAADAC), and at the Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference. He has presented at numerous treatment programs training therapists and addiction treatment professionals nationally and internationally. Additionally, Dr. Navarra teaches graduate classes on addictive disorders at Santa Clara University, California. Specializing in a relational approach of assessment and treatment for couples impacted by an addictive disorder, Dr. Navarra has developed the “Couple Recovery Development Approach” (CRDA) based on his research on couple recovery in the Family Recovery Project at Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto California. Integrating CRDA with world-renowned therapists Drs. John and Julie Gottman’s Sound Relationship House model, Dr. Navarra designed Roadmap for the Journey, a 10-hour workshop for recovering couples. Additionally, in collaboration with the Gottman Institute Dr. Navarra created and designed a one-day Gottman workshop for professionals, Couples and Addiction Recovery, which he offers as a live workshop and is a featured online class at the Gottman Institute.

Alyssa Wilson, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, is an Associate Professor of Psychology at California State University, Fresno. She received her PhD in Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and is a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Missouri and Nevada. She is the co-author of The Gambling Disorder Treatment Handbook: A Guide for Mental Health Professionals and chapter in the Social Work Desk Reference v 4 on Gambling Disorders. She is also the co-author of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Gambling Disorders, a guide for clinicians. Dr. Wilson has delivered over fifty national and international presentations related to gambling assessment and treatment, and her research has been showcased on Netflix’s Bill Nye Saves the World.  When she is not working, you can find her spending time with family, painting, or cooking a vegetarian friendly meal.
